Dancing Day is a time honored holiday in Daggerfall. Who started it is questionable, but the Red Prince Atryck popularized it in the second era. It is an occasion of great pomp and merriment for all the people of Daggerfall, from the nobles down. It is celebrated on the 23rd of Mid Year.

Mid Year Celebration

The Mid Year Celebration is held on the 16th of Mid Year. Perhaps to alleviate the annual news of the Emperor's latest tax increase, the temples offer blessings for only half the donation they usually suggest. Many so blessed feel confident enough to enter the dungeons when they are not fully prepared, so this joyous festival has often been known to turn suddenly into a day of defeat and tragedy. It is mentioned in From the Memory Stone of Makela Leki.

The Fire Festival of Northmoor is one of the most attended celebrations in High Rock. It began as a pompous display of magic and military strength in ancient days and has become quite a festival. It is held on the 20th of Second Seed.

Second Planting

The celebration of Second Planting is in full glory on the 7th of Second Seed. It is a holiday with traditions that are similar to First Planting's, improvements on the first seeding symbolically suggest improvements on the soul. The free clinics of the temple are open for the second and last time for the year, offering cures for those suffering from any kind of disease and affliction. Because peace, not conflict is stressed at this time, battle injuries are healed at full price.

Someone Stole Your Sweetroll? Make Another!!!

I wanted to do a sweetroll recipe last time, but I couldn't find anything I liked (recipe wise) so I was lame and did the Milk Drinker post instead. But I just found this one! Cicero aparently loves sweetrolls as much as any other maniac in Tamriel so he put this up. Check out screamin-jazzy on dA to find out how she made the costume!

Infinite Gold Exploits

The Septim is the main currency in all of Tamriel. It is named after the dynasty that rules the Septim Empire founded by Tiber Septim. It is officially called a Septim due to the bust of Tiber Septim on the obverse side. The legend on the obverse (front) is: "The Empire is Law. The Law is Sacred." The reverse reads: "Praise be, Akatosh and all the Divines."

Here are a few ways to get tons of gold around Skyrim.

Thieves Guild: The Thieves Guild in Riften has more than one set of Thieves Guild Armor in the The Ragged Flagon's Cistern which can be picked up. A full set is in the lockpick training room, with three more pieces scattered throughout the cistern. The armor is valuable due to its enchantments. The armor will respawn an infinite number of times.

Alchemy: The alchemist shops in the various holds usually have many ingredients for sale. If you buy all the available ingredients and use them to create potions, you can sell the created potions for more than the cost of the ingredients. You can then move on to the next hold and repeat. By the time you have completed a curcuit around Skyrim the first Alchemist visited will have respawned a full inventory of ingredients allowing for infinite gold to be made.

Skeleton book: There is a glitch in Skyrim involving an infinite number of books found on a skeleton which can be sold at a shop. This can be found above the Sightless Pit near Winterhold.

Mannequin duplication glitch: Placing valuable apparel, including but not limited to Daedric, Dragonplate, Dragonscale, and even Dragon Priest Masks, on mannequins in purchased homes results in a doubling exploit. It involves placing the chosen armor on the mannequin, removing it without exiting the screen, then leaving the house and re-entering. Take the armor found on the mannequin and repeat. Sell the duplicated items to a merchant. However a more recent update has patched this on the 360 version.

Arrow stealing: Several shooting ranges feature archers shooting at targets. All arrows fired at the targets can be collected and sold. The archers have infinite arrows and can be pickpocketed. When you Pickpocket you can give them different Arrows, then the archers will shoot the arrows they are given. This is a quick and easy way of farming expensive or rare arrows, like a Daedric Arrow.

Shrine of Mehrunes Dagon: The Shrine of Mehrunes Dagon, once cleared, will respawn its many gold and ebony ingots, along with valuable enchanted armor, etc. after ten days in the game.

Blood on the Ice: When visiting Calixto Corrium on Blood on the Ice, it is possible to sell him the Necromancer's Amulet and then pickpocket the amulet in order to then sell it back. Each successful attempt is rewarded with 500 gold and a large amount of Pickpocket experience. (No Pickpocket perks are required.) Once Calixto's house is left, it will remain open for the rest of that day, but will lock and stay locked (Master) from then on, but Calixto has a key that can be pickpocketed or taken off his corpse. He will not be in there ever again and the contents out in the open on shelves, etc. respawn (enough to complete a Bedlam job for Delvin).

Balimund: Balimund in Riften can be pickpocketed for his gold and then can be bought from, then pickpocket for his gold repeatedly until the player has all the gold that he owns, then can wait 3 days (72 hours) and repeat. The player can then sell the items he/she has gotten from Balimund.
